The Seed of an Idea (2010)
Our story didn't begin in an office; it began in the fields. In 2010, driven by a deep connection to our rural roots and a vision for agritourism, we realized there was a widening gap between the pure, unadulterated food of the village and the urban tables of Pune. We saw a need to bring back the "Assal" (authentic) taste of the land.
It started simply. We began by bringing the authentic fragrance of Indrayani and Ambemohar rice, alongside fresh, nutrient-dense pulses from our own family farm, directly to health-conscious families in Pune. The overwhelming response from our first few customers confirmed what we already knew: people were hungry for food that tasted like home.

As we grew, so did our mission. We realized that to truly make an impact, we needed to support the entire rural ecosystem. We began collaborating with

Over the years, Gramgrocer became more than just a grocery service; it became a guardian of tradition. We made it our mission to preserve vanishing crop varieties—from the ancient Khapli Wheat to hand-pounded rice—ensuring that these nutritional powerhouses remain accessible to the modern, health-conscious consumer.
